Deep Tribe, the Los Angeles-based DJ and production partnership that stirs musical minds with soul-hitting and deeply meaningful underground electronic music.
Creators and innovators in their own right, the duo blends elements of house and techno with influences from other genres peppered in for an outcome that is a signature sound they are now widely recognized for.
Deep Tribe is also the tip of the spear at their very own label Counterfeit Fun Records.
On one side we have Andrew, born and raised in Southern California, and on the other Dimitry, from South Ukraine. Two worlds apart, yet connected by a thick, visceral and intellectual thread. Somehow their paths crossed, and together they would fuse their artistic minds into a project known as Deep Tribe.
Deep Tribe continuously earns the respect of peers and fans alike thanks to their unique original productions, stand-out taste in music, energetic sets and infectious performances.

BOOKING & REMIXES:
Deep Tribe members Andrew Knopf and Dimitry Rozental first met on a hotel rooftop in downtown Los Angeles during the summer of 2012. Both soon realized they shared a deep yet perhaps unhealthy love of electronic music.
Though each had success in the dance music industry under various pseudonyms, as Deep Tribe, the duo found their niche. Their unique and diverse influences have sparked a solid catalog of tunes spanning the world of house and techno.
Deep Tribe engineers everything from bouncy dance-floor jams to low-slung deep house tracks ideal for a desert sunrise. High-energy tech house overflows into their beloved bootlegs and remixes.
Diversity shines through in Deep Tribe’s recent hits. As the title suggests, you can’t help but put your body in motion listening to “Now Move,” a track that dives super deep into bass. And their new EP “The One” on Noise Revolt Records is full of soul-shaking, spiritual, and bass heavy remixes from Chief Jesta, DaVoid, and Davy James.
One of the duo’s greatest successes is their rendition of “Holding Back.” Deep Tribe’s daydream-like, emotional remix will cut straight to your heart. The track’s success was galvanized by its broad exposure on industry outlets like DJMag, Dancing Astronaut, Magnetic Magazine and 6AM.
While enjoying the popularity of “Holding Back,” Deep Tribe kept the beats alive by crafting a jam for the block parties as well as the clubs. “Street Love” mixes bizarre synths with funky drums and punchy vocals.
Along with appearances as featured artists on house music blogs, Deep Tribe shares their vibes with radio listeners. They’ve been on Frisky Radio’s Junk Mail show, Ibiza Global Radio, plus the Bedroom Bedlam show on Proton Radio.
And if all that play on the airwaves isn’t enough, Deep Tribe garnered special appreciation from Chicago’s Q101.1 FM. The station’s Electric Playground show spun an extended mix of nothing but original Deep Tribe tracks.
Beatport, another industry favorite, always loves to feature Deep Tribe. Original tracks “Easy Lee,” Holding Back,” and “Two Soft Tacos” have been on display multiple times in the new releases section of Beatport’s deep house page.
Deep Tribe is no stranger to record label signings, either. They’ve drawn ink with Moom Records, Wulfpack, Perspective Digital, Trash Monsters, and, of course, the notorious Noise Revolt.
And by joining forces with LA’s Perfect Driver Music, the fellas have been taking the Internet by storm with a free “Sex On The Beaches” bootleg featuring a vocal sample from none other than Peaches.
The relentless Deep Tribe even manages their own record label. You can find them on the bravely titled Counterfeit Fun Records.
In the recent years Deep Tribe has laid tracks with a full stash of international artists including Soul Trader, aka Funkagenda, aka one of the top 100 DJs according to Beatport and DJMag.
And we can’t overlook Dustin Nantais, Brett Rubin, Saand, and Randy Seidman. Every one of these skilled DJs poured their talents into remixes on the “Inside My Love” EP.
One of Deep Tribe’s most expressive collaborations was combined with an award nomination for Best Track of 2015! At the House Music Awards show in Los Angeles, the duo put on a live performance of “Inside My Love,” sharing the stage with Violin Girl, aka Amanda Marks.
Prior to the show’s memorable performance, Deep Tribe released the album “Do Your Thing” featuring remixes from Chicago teammates RJ Pickens and Twitchi’nSkratch. Europe’s also in the mix courtesy of England’s Jack Carter and Italy’s Victor Vega.
On stage, the duo incorporates live bass over house grooves and holds steadfast in their fervent belief that there should always be four hands on deck. Deep Tribe’s thumping bass is often felt at mainstay festivals. You may have caught them at Cosmic Carnival, Dust V and Dust VI, Lightning In A Bottle, Midnight At Eden, Out There, and so many more!
And if you’re looking for a fix, complete with visuals, YouTube can scratch that itch. Popular videos on display are the haunting “Ghost Dance,” the beautiful “Easy Lee,” the hypnotic “Two Soft Tacos,” and current hit, “The One.”
Deep Tribe is constantly perfecting their own style of DJing as a union. By engaging in the action together, they bring a special dynamic to the turntables that’s easily recognized in their contagious music.
The boys are relentless in their pursuit of becoming an unwavering force in the dance music community. One glimpse at their performance and production calendar reveals Deep Tribe’s mission to spoil fans with a steady flow of new originals and remixes. Just try to keep up!
